Kava is the ground root of a plant grown in the South Pacific called Piper Methysticum, (intoxicating pepper) a member of the pepper family and related to black pepper. It is native to the South Pacific where growing conditions are ideal.

HOW DOES KAVA WORK? KAVALACTONES EXPLAINED

Kava contains naturally occurring active ingredients called Kavalactones.

These Kavalactones affect our autonomic
nervous system – the part of the central nervous system that regulate
involuntary body responses.

They do this via a neurotransmitter called GABA (GAMMA AMINOBUTERIC ACID) which is known for producing a calming effect by lessening the ability of the nerve cells to receive, create and send chemical messages to other nerve cells.

So, Kava works via GABA to slow down the nervous system and stimulate dopamine in the brain, replacing anxiety stress and fear with pleasure, satisfaction and simply feeling good.

Kava’s effectiveness depends on the ratio, quantity and quality of kavalactones present in the kava. HOW TO PREPARE YOUR VANUATU NOBLE® TRADITIONAL GRIND KAVA

Best enjoyed as a tea, our Pure Noble Kava from Vanuatu gives you a state of calm + relaxation that has helped thousands of people find their happy place.

  1. Submerge Kava Bag in 400 - 500ml cool to warm water.
  2. Knead the bag for 60 seconds. 
  3. Soak / steep for 3-5 minutes. 
  4. Squeeze the liquid out of the bag.
  5. Malogu! (Relax!)
    • Use warm water. Room Temperature to body temperature (around 37ºC) is ideal. Hot water will kill the naturally occurring active ingredients (kavalactones) in the kava. If you prefer to drink Kava cold it can be refrigerated.

Francois & Jacqui

Francois Chani was born on Pentecost Island. After school He moved to Australia with his wife and in 1994 moved back to Vanuatu becoming an active member of the Ni-Van community. In 1999 Francois became a Kava farmer employing farmers to plant 2000 kava plants and learned intimately the process of producing the finest Kava in the world.

Jacqui and Francois have been friends since 1990 when Francois started lobbying the Australian Government to lift bans on the sale of Kava in Australia. Jacqui’s journey is all about living well and sharing her knowledge on mental, as well as physical health and wellbeing.

In 2022 they became certified importers and resellers of Kava with a passion for sharing the benefits of this power packed ancient plant and its traditions with Australians while supporting Ni-Van farmers by paying a fair price for their kava.
