FLAVOUR PROFILE: Earthy, peppery, slightly bitter with a hint of licorice. Instant kava is a little milder than traditionally ground kava root.
HOW TO PREPARE YOUR VANUATU NOBLE KAVA
250g - Approx 10 serves
Single serve using a blender or shaker
Add 25g (1/3 cup) of Vanuatu Noble Kava and 300 - 500mL warm water, to a blender or shaker. Blend or shake for 1-2 minutes. Allow to sit for at least 10 minutes. Blend or shake for a few more seconds. Pour blended mixture through a very fine sieve or strainer cloth/bag. Squeeze the bag to release all fluid and kavalactones.
Single serve using a small strainer bag
Add 25g (1/3 cup) of Vanuatu Noble Kava to a small strainer bag. Put 300 - 500mL warm water into a bowl. Knead the kava bag in the water using your hands or the back of a spoon for 1-2 minutes. Allow to sit for at least 10 minutes . Knead the bag for another minute, then squeeze the water out of the bag and set aside.
Vanuatu style - 4 serves
Add 100g Vanuatu Noble Kava to a strainer bag. Put 1-1.5 litres warm water into a bowl. Knead the kava bag vigorously in the water for 1-2 minutes. Allow to sit for at least 10 minutes. Knead the bag for another minute. Squeeze the water out of the bag and set aside.
Enjoy immediately or refrigerate before serving
Drink the Kava quickly. Locally this is called ‘chugging’.

TIPS:
• Best consumed on an empty stomach.
• To increase effectiveness & improve flavour add a little milk, plant milk, milk powder or coconut oil to water before brewing.
• Use warm water - no hotter than 50ºC. Hot water kills the naturally occurring active ingredients (kavalactones).
• Kava can be stored in the fridge for up to one week.
• Drink the Kava quickly. Locally this is called ‘chugging’.
