Kava contains naturally occurring active ingredients called Kavalactones.

These Kavalactones affect our autonomic
nervous system – the part of the central nervous system that regulate
involuntary body responses.

They do this via a neurotransmitter called GABA (GAMMA AMINOBUTERIC ACID) which is known for producing a calming effect by lessening the ability of the nerve cells to receive, create and send chemical messages to other nerve cells.

So, Kava works via GABA to slow down the nervous system and stimulate dopamine in the brain, replacing anxiety stress and fear with pleasure, satisfaction and simply feeling good.

Kava’s effectiveness depends on the ratio, quantity and quality of kavalactones present in the kava. Kavalactone are naturally occurring and present in different ratios in each Cultivar, meaning that each Kava Cultivar will have a slightly different effect.
